Cyrene privacy policy

Cyrene is an app by Roy Doumet. On the screen, the subtitle is Echo Veil. This page says what the app stores, what it sends, and how you erase it.

What stays on your phone

The lines you keep, a note you write, and a count of those lines stay on that phone. The note can be up to 2,000 characters. The phone holds up to 100 lines. A new line past that drops the oldest.

The heart notes, the thirty-day clock, and the marks you make on the cards stay on that same phone. Cyrene does not upload them.

Cyrene has no account. You do not sign in. There is no password for the lines.

What is sent

Cyrene does not send the lines, the note, or the count to Roy Doumet, and it does not send them to a server run for this app. The app does not show ads. It does not sell those lines. It does not share them with other companies.

The Android app includes permission to use the internet, because that permission comes with the app shell. The lines are not uploaded with it. Cyrene does not ask for your contacts, your location, your microphone, your camera, or your photos.

How to erase it

Inside Heart, choose “Erase the lines on this phone,” then press it again. That deletes the kept lines from that phone. The delete cannot be undone. There is no copy on a server to erase, because the lines were not sent. Clearing the site data in the browser also removes the heart notes and the thirty-day clock.

The store

If you install Cyrene from Google Play or the App Store, that store handles your store account, the download, and any price you pay there. Cyrene does not ask you to pay inside the app. The store’s own privacy policy covers the store account. That account is separate from the lines kept inside Cyrene.

Children

Cyrene is not made for children.

This page is hosted at aiasmusic.com so the stores can link to it. Opening this page in a browser is separate from the lines kept inside Cyrene. This page does not set a cookie and does not ask you to sign in. The company that hosts the page may keep an ordinary connection log, such as the time of a visit. That log is not your kept lines.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change. The same address will show the new page.
